Heinrich Gonzales is an Admitted Attorney with the right of appearance in the High Court Division of South Africa. He grew up in the winelands of Robertson where he matriculated in 2006, and thereafter obtained his LLB-degree at the University of Stellenbosch in 2011. Until the end of 2019, he was a serving member on the executive council of the University of Stellenbosch. During 2017, he also served as a member of the Institutional Forum at the University of Stellenbosch.
Since being admitted as an attorney, Heinrich obtained experience in various fields of the law. During his journey in the legal sphere, he was part of litigation teams and court proceedings against the previous Minister of Police regarding issues relating to firearms in South Africa, litigation against various municipalities and the Department of Water and Sanitation regarding environmental issues such as pollution and non-compliance of legislation. Heinrich specialises in Firearm Law, Criminal Law, Family Law and Civil Litigation in the High Court and the Magistrate’s Court.
Heinrich was a member of Paarl 44 Roundtable, where their main aim was to serve the community through charity work and projects.
Heinrich Gonzales is also an opinion writer for Maroela Media and performs as a speaker at community/farming meetings in order to provide training and share information regarding issues that effects firearm owners in SA. Heinrich is a proud legal firearm owner that holds the view that every SA citizen has the right to own a firearm for self-defence purposes.
He is the founding member and Director of HFG Attorneys Inc in Paarl which operates in the Western Cape.
Heinrich is a four-time SA champion hammer thrower and also played rugby for Boland an Maties during his student years. In his free time, Heinrich enjoys fishing, playing squash and working on his bonsai collection.
